As we fell asleep at 8 last night we woke at 3 and decided to just get up and go as it was to be a 4 hour trip to derby. We got away by 4 and got to our destination by 8! And it was pouring the whole way. We were very grateful we did as the traffic was shocking in the later stages due to the rain . The m4 was like a parking station for Kim after Kim. Or should I say miles.
0830 We are now sitting in the car in a car park in alfreton waiting for a call from the dentist. Nothing that 190 pound fee to to see him without the work. My dentist has a lot to answer for. Just hope the insurance covers it.
5pm and we have found our home for the next 4 nights not bad really ! And no, we are not staying in the whole house.
We are in the upstairs section which is a one bedroom flat with the original oak beams

This is the view from the flat. As you can see it has been raining and raining and raining, so much so we went and bought Wellies.
Once we found out I had a dental Appt at 3 pm we could plan our day. It is the most beautiful countryside. We drove to Matlock and explored the antique shops and once again behaved ourselves. Tim had to visit Bakewell and have his tart. Our plan was to revisit Chatsworth but I am sorry $100 for 2 people is over the top so we saved our money for other places we haven't seen.
Quiet night in tonight with tesco own curries! Love this take away food.
