Saturday 18 October

Woke to alarms going off 0545 agh!!! We have to clean the house up before we go as part of the deal as the house is so remote they can't get cleaners! We did it in record time without too many domestics, reminds me of holidays by the beach, still got a sweat up but no humidity. Bye lovely tigh sgeir Gael
And off to catch the ferry

Had a great full Scottish breakfast on board , different to the English as they include haggis or black pudding! Yuk , needless to say we declined the offer of including it in our 6 item breakfast to get the best deal
We stopped in Oban and did a quick shop for essentials as the shopping on the island was very scarce with very little option. As much as I loved the island , I think it is a Bit too remote for me.

I estimated the trip would take about 3-4 hours, WRONG. The weather was not on our side and it was intensive driving and navigating. We travelled via Stirling and this was all I saw
Stirling castle at 100mph! Not bad shot really for My little camera . June managed to sleep when we circumnavigated Edinburgh, so we had great fun telling her  all the things she missed! Which was nothing as it is all industrial

We did a bit of googling the night before and found there  was an antique fair in Haddington still in Scotland only just, so we made that our tea stop. Still very controlled and only got a couple of small things which will give  you all a laugh when we get back.

We arrived at the new house which is so different to the other place. It is a bit larger with no character and no view but more comfortable. It was hard finding somewhere in Northumberland as it is half term and things are either too expensive or not available. Still it is comfortable and I knew that we would not be spending much time here like in mull as there is much more to do.
Here is a local peasant using her mobile outside the house
View of the sea in the distance and it is only a 3 minute walk but taking the wind into a factor it would probably be 10 minutes. Have never come across anything like it! You can hardly stand up and we are to expect this to continue for the next few days.
