Tuesday 28 october

Weather continues to be great , so lucky really.

                         French sunrise

Had a later start and went to se Chambord chateaux which has been designated as a world heritage site. It is the largest chateau in France and was built on over a period of time by different monarchs. It was meant to be a hunting lodge but its architecture made it extravagant. It really was something else

just another aspect of the chateau

It was built around a giant spiralling staircase that was hollow in the middles nd when walking up or down you couldn't see the other person on the other side.

Not sure how we did it but got June to nearly the top
On  each turret there were more winding staircases and each room just moved from one to into each other around and round the chateau, we didn't get to see all the rooms, the kids must have had a ball growing up

Glad I didn't have to mow this lot
Had lunch in the grounds

Free amusement as the fire engine turned up to remove a wasp nest

                   The gendarme to the rescue!
