Saturday 1 nov

Out of the house by 8 as we had a long way to go to catch the ferry.
Map of the chateaus we visited

We were going to stop and find some markets but realised we could get an earlier ferry as Linda had put the directions into the sat nav. We were surprised as it was only going to take 51/2 hours. We know why now. when Linda put in the destination she didn't put in via rouens so we ended up going via Paris which was quicker .wasnt first option as we have to drive into Paris.

Tim originally didn't want to go that way due to the traffic but it wasn't that bad as we just went with the flow and at least it wasn't  raining.

A fleeting view of paris

Few loo stops and food stops and we made it to the ferry and they let us on which meant we would get back at 8 instead of 1030.

The crossing was calm, dropped June off home and went up the motorway to reading.

Long old day  but worth it
